Those from around the world and amongst us in our communities have the same basic and instinctual thought behind the oldest question of all are we alone ? Some may look at the subject and think that its a bunch of sci fi thats are only meant for hollywood.
The truth is that we dont know its a lonely thought to think that we are the only ones who have self awareness in this universe. I mean we see it in our television sets our books and even our history shows humans need to believe that there may be civilizations outside of our world. The natural question of are we alone ? We look in the night sky and dream of other worlds and possible new ventures undiscovered like a wondering Columbus waiting to take leave. The idea doesnt have any discriminatory barriers because within all of us lies that wonder of knowing more.
I must say that the Polo's of our time are non-exsistant we rely on pictures to see and estimate what could be instead of leading the way. A leap that has been made for mankind many times before but the need has diminished. There are many missions on Earth that look for and venture to expand the worlds eye of whats out there. We even look for worlds that may be hospitable for human life and have identified a few that may exist. Why havent we declared missions to visit ? Should we ? I think that it would be to the best interests of all man to explore the possibility for the future generations who may need an alternative world one day. I think that just for the pure reason to expand our knowledge and our technology in the process.
